Map monster location and details on Great Lakes in Creatures of the Deep.

Quête du Monstre : Bessie

Jack walks you through the legend of Bessie with a sequence of environmental tasks and fishing challenges spread across three days. The progression mixes simple actions with more involved objectives, gradually building momentum. Early steps focus on basic interactions, while later tasks introduce more specific targets and locations. The lake itself becomes more central as you advance, with certain areas gaining importance. By the final day, everything aligns toward tracking Bessie, connecting the earlier efforts into a more focused objective.

Day 1

1 any fish

Jack first asks you to catch any fish, simply to confirm that you can handle basic fishing before moving forward.

4 old tires

These old tires are located near the jetties, mainly in the northern area. Jack needs them to build his new dock.

common musk turtle (Jeremy)

Jeremy can be found in the dead forest to the east. The turtle was lost and is known to stay around bulrush areas.

Day 2

colorful headdress

The colorful headdress is located in the Old Camp, near the totem. It is a museum piece that was lost during a historical reenactment.

4 brook trout

Brook trout are found at the river mouth in the north. Foggy areas in the lake are known for breaking fishing rods.

toxic barrel

The toxic barrel is in the southwest, where it can be identified by a glow under the water. Removing it contributes to cleaning the lake.

2 beavers

Beavers are located near fallen trees in the north. Their habitat has been damaged by something large.

Day 3

hot dog

The hot dog is in the lake near the destroyed dock in the northeast. It fell into the water after a beaver-related incident.

12 kg largemouth bass

Largemouth bass can be caught in the deep western area. Completing this objective unlocks the special maple syrup bait in the shop (this is actually the classic black bait).

bessie

Bessie is found in the misty southeastern part of the lake and is active early in the morning (even though Jack mentions “early morning”, Bessie is actually active at any time of day). The special bait is not required but strongly recommended.
